Organize around real questions
Use headings that describe the content and links that identify their destination. Keep paragraphs focused and give the main text comfortable size and spacing. A mobile reader should be able to follow the page without sideways scrolling or tiny controls. Avoid placing essential information solely inside an image or a decorative animation.
Check more than appearance
Test keyboard navigation, visible focus and the ability to enlarge text. Provide useful descriptions for meaningful images and avoid unnecessary descriptions for purely decorative ones. A readable page is not proof of complete accessibility compliance, but these checks uncover common barriers. Review the actual page on more than one screen size rather than assuming a responsive theme has done the work.
A short working checklist
- Use descriptive headings and link text.
- Test keyboard navigation and text enlargement.
- Keep essential information available as text.
